Star Plus has unveiled the full music video for ‘India Ke Top 1% – The Anil Kapoor Show’, a qawwali-style anthem featuring host Anil Kapoor, building on the buzz generated by the show’s teaser released over the weekend.
Titled ‘Baat Khatki Toh Jeet Pakki’, the track marks Anil Kapoor’s first time performing a qawwali on screen. Speaking about the experience, Kapoor said the show is a celebration of how differently people think, and that the qawwali captures its vibrant, energetic and entertaining spirit, adding that its infectious energy reflects the excitement viewers can expect as 100 contestants come together to test their everyday thinking on one stage. He said performing the style for the first time was new and exciting, and that he wanted his performance to complement the show’s distinct personality.
‘India Ke Top 1% – The Anil Kapoor Show’, the Indian adaptation of ‘The 1% Club’, is produced by Banijay Asia and centres on questions that test logic, observation and everyday reasoning rather than conventional general knowledge. The show is set to premiere on September 19 at 8 pm on Star Plus and JioHotstar.
